API (Application Programming Interface) keys let you connect external systems to Hotellistat on your behalf. Each key you create has the same rights and can access the same endpoints as you.
In-app location: Settings → User → API access
What you can do
Create new API keys tied to your account.
Copy a newly created key to your clipboard.
View your existing keys, each shown with how long ago it was created.
Delete keys you no longer use.
How to create an API key
Go to Settings → User → API access.
Select Create API Key.
Your new key appears under Your API key: Select the copy button to copy it to your clipboard.
Store the key somewhere safe before leaving the screen.
How to delete an API key
Find the key under Existing keys:
Use the delete control on that key's row.
Confirm when prompted with Yes I'm sure, or choose No, take me back to cancel.
Good to know
After you create a key, write it down right away. You won't be able to view it again once you leave the screen.
Deleting a key is immediate. Other systems might rely on that key to access the API, so removing it could break those integrations.
You can delete keys that aren't in use and issue new ones at any time.
