Hybrid View

The Hybrid View puts everything you need for a pricing decision on one screen: weather, events, your On The Books KPIs, the market rate chart, your prices with ARIS suggestions, and your restrictions.

Different sections

All sections share one date axis, so the column for a day lines up from top to bottom.

Use it when you want to read demand and the market for a period and change prices or restrictions in the same place, without switching between the Pricing page, Table View and reports.

Getting started

Open Revenue Management and choose Hybrid View in the Pricing sub-menu, next to Pricing and Table View (the former Quick View). If you don't see the entry, ask your Customer Success Manager to activate it for your user.

  1. Pick a date range in the date picker at the top. You can select up to 2 months (62 days). The page shows the days that fit your screen; scroll sideways to see the rest.

  2. Set the filters in the filter bar (room type, OTA, occupancy, length of stay, cancellation policy, board, shop date). They are the same filters as on the Pricing page and are shared with it, so a change on one page shows on the other.

  3. Open the settings with the ⚙️ icon next to the date picker. On your first visit, choose your derivation and the rows you want to price (see Settings below).

  4. Read and act from top to bottom: demand, market, prices, restrictions.

The left column (labels) and the right column (totals for the whole selected period) stay fixed. Only the day columns in the middle scroll, and all sections scroll together. Hover over a row or column to highlight it across the page.

Your settings are saved per user and hotel, so the page opens the way you left it.

Reading demand and the market

Dates, weather and events

The top row shows each day with its weather icon and temperature, and stays visible while you scroll down. Below it, the two highest-ranked events per day appear as bars across the days they cover. If more events touch a day, a +N chip appears; hover over it to see all events with their rank. Holidays show in the same band, without a rank.

On The Books

This section shows your current PMS data (On The Books) for each day. By default you see Room Nights, Occupancy %, Room Revenue, ADR and RevPAR; you can change the list in the settings. The cell color reflects the occupancy of the day.

Each cell shows two values: the current value and, next to it, the difference to your comparison period (green when higher, red when lower). Choose the comparison period in the On The Books section on the top left:

  • STLY by Timeframe or STLY by DOW (same time last year, matched by date or by weekday)

  • LY ACT by Timeframe or LY ACT by DOW (last year's actuals)

  • Pickup Since, with a slider from 0 to 14 days

  • Budget, Forecast or Hotellistat Forecast

The totals column on the right shows each KPI for the full selected period, with its delta.

Rate Chart

The Rate Chart compares your own price with your competitor set for the filters you selected. Your own hotel is the bold line in your hotel color. Competitors show as a grey band from the lowest to the highest competitor price (bands, the default), or as one line per competitor (lines). Each day has a dot and a price label. The price axis adjusts automatically to the days on screen as you scroll.

The Legend: showing on the felt side, hover a hotel to fade out the others; click it to hide or show that hotel.

Options on the right side of the table:

  • Scale: switch between linear and logarithmic scale.

  • Occupancy bars: stacked bars behind the lines show the occupancy of each day (right axis, 0 to 100%), in the same colors as on the Pricing page.

  • Tooltip: hover a day to see its PMS figures, such as occupancy, room nights, ADR, room revenue, out of order, optional and tentative bookings. You choose the columns in the settings.

Rate history: click a day to open the rate history of that stay date, including historic occupancy bars.

Your rate lines: use the eye icon on a Pricing row to add that rate to the chart. Use the eye next to an ARIS Recommendation name to add its suggested prices as a line; the eye turns ARIS yellow when active.

The totals column shows your average price, the average competitor price and the price volatility for the selected period.

Changing prices and restrictions

Pricing section

Each row is one node of your derivation that you enabled in the settings. Within a rate code, rows follow your room type order.

The row label shows the node name and, below it, either "Base rate" or how the rate is derived (for example "+10 from BAR"). Hover it for name, rate, room and operation. If an ARIS strategy or recommendation feeds the row, the yellow ARIS icon shows its name and the time of its last run; click it to open that strategy in ARIS.

Each cell shows:

  • the current price in the center, ready to edit

  • the ARIS suggestion on top with a ✓ to accept it: green when it is higher than your current price, red when lower, grey when equal

  • an availability bar on the left for rows tied to a room category

  • a lock icon at the top right when the price is locked (the input is greyed out)

  • a restriction icon at the bottom right when restrictions are switched on

Hover a cell for the full strategy and derivation details, including who set a lock.

To change a price, click into the cell, type the new price and press Enter. Escape cancels. Derived rates are recalculated with your default derivation mode, and the Rate Chart updates right away. Changed cells turn green until you upload them.

To accept ARIS, click the ✓ in a cell, or Accept all in the row label to take every suggestion in the selected period. If you have unsaved changes, you are warned that they will be discarded first. Rows where ARIS writes prices automatically show "Automatically accepted by ARIS" instead of the Accept all button.

To work on several days at once, drag across cells, Shift-click a range or Ctrl/Cmd-click single cells. Then right-click to open the menu:

  • Accept selection: take the ARIS suggestions for the selected cells

  • Lock or Remove lock: keep a price fixed on this node

  • Lock subtree: lock the node and every rate derived from it

  • Bulk edit: set, add, multiply or change by percent for all selected cells (not offered on rows that ARIS updates automatically)

To send your changes to the PMS, click the upload button left of the date picker. The badge shows how many prices are waiting. A confirmation shows the number of changes, the date range and the credits used. Price and lock changes are only saved with this step. If you leave the page with unsaved prices, you get a warning.

Restrictions section

Switch on Activate restrictions in the settings to see this section. It shows the restriction status per day for the levels and rates you selected, with the same symbols as on the Pricing page: open or closed, min and max stay, CTA and CTD.

Use the two buttons in the totals column on the right:

  • Set restrictions opens a form with level, date ranges, weekdays and the restriction types: open, close, CTA, CTD, min and max stay, min and max stay-through, min and max advance booking.

  • Reset restrictions removes restrictions for the level, dates and weekdays you choose.

Tip: select cells first, then click a button. The action then applies to your selection, and you skip the level and date fields.

Tips and FAQ

  • I don't see the Hybrid View in the menu. The page is activated per user. Ask your Customer Success Manager.

  • The Pricing section is empty. Open the settings, pick a derivation group, enable at least one node and click Save.

  • A row has no ARIS suggestions. Suggestions only appear when a strategy or recommendation is assigned to that node in the derivation settings, and when it has output for those days.

  • My manual price was replaced. If ARIS updates a node automatically, its next run can overwrite manual prices. Lock the cells you want to keep before you upload.

  • Can I select more than 2 months? No. The date range is limited to 62 days, and the number of rows is limited as well, so the page stays fast.

  • Are my filters separate from the Pricing page? No. The filter bar is shared, so a filter you set here also applies on the Pricing page.

  • Can I undo an upload? Not on this page yet. Correct the price and upload again, or contact support.

  • For anything else, write to us via the chat in the app or contact your Customer Success Manager.
