Standards in Hotellistat

Updated over 3 weeks ago

USALI - Uniform System of Accounts

Hotellistat adheres to the uniform system of accounts of the lodging industry. This results in the following main standards:

  • OOO - Out of Order cannot be taken out of the inventory / capacity if rooms are only out of order less than 6 months

  • We adhere to the following revenue streams:

    • Rooms / Logis: pure room revenue, including e.g. no show revenue.

    • F&B: Revenues coming from F&B departments like restaurants, bar, room service,...

    • OTHER: Revenue from other operational departments, including health clubs/spas, golfing and other recreational activities, retail, business centres, and minor operating departments such as vending machines, guest communications, and in-room entertainment (movies, etc.).

    • MISC: Miscellaneous revenue generated from other indirect sales, such as rented spaces for gift shops and other guest-related service providers.

  • Room Nights: including stayed room nigths (incl COMP / HOUSE), not including no-show room nights

Hotellistat calculation

First, the states of reservations and blocks need to be defined. We support:

  • Definite: TAKEN FROM AVAILABILITY
all states that are deducted from the capacity, respectively that reduce the availability are under this state

  • Tentative: NOT TAKEN FROM AVAILABILITY
Anything under final negotiation, but not yet confirmed definite is under this state. If you want your TENT states to be counted as DEFINITE, add them to "Definite" (above)

  • Optional: NOT TAKEN FROM AVAILABILITY
Anything that is an offer, and only registered

  • Cancelled: NOT TAKEN FROM AVAILABILITY
Cancelled bookings. Late Cancellation fees are registered under MISC revenue

  • No Show: NOT TAKEN FROM AVAILABILITY
Reservations that did not show up. No Show revenue is registered under ROOM revenue (aside from also separately counted into the state "no show")
Room nights are not counted from no show reservations.

Following settings are underlaying the above logic:
